(Baton Rouge, La.) -   These twenty three legislators will receive the 2009“Outstanding Family Advocate” Award from Louisiana Family Forum in recognition of their commendable pro-family voting records during the 2009 Legislative Session. The awards will be presented at the Legislative Awards Banquet on Sept. 17th in Baton Rouge at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. 

State Representatives Award Recipients include: Richard Burford (R) - Stonewall, Timothy Burns (R) - Mandeville, Simone Champagne (D) - Jeanerette, Patrick Connick (R) - Marrero, Greg Cromer (R) - Slidell, Noble Ellington (D) - Winnsboro, John Guinn (R) - Jennings, Frank Hoffmann (R) - West Monroe, John LaBruzzo (R) - Metairie, Eddie Lambert (R) - Gonzales, Thomas McVea (R) - Jackson, Rickey Nowlin (R) - Natchitoches, Jonathan Perry (R) - Abbeville, Jerome Richard (I) - Thibodaux, John Schroder (R) - Covington, Mert Smiley (R) - Port Vincent, Bodi White (R) - Denham Springs.

Senators include: A.G. Crowe (R) - Slidell, Nick Gautreaux (D) - Abbeville, Neil Riser (R) - Columbia, John Smith (D) - Leesville, Mike Walsworth (R) - West Monroe

"We are proud of these statesmen for making excellent choices and upholding strong family traditions in Louisiana. These men and women stood firm and will be rewarded. Well done!" said Gene Mills, president of LFF Action.
