Healthcare Summit... Simplified!
February 26,2010
Summit Simplified!
Going into the unprecedented, televised and bi-partisan summit yesterday Health Care Reform could best be summarized this way:
"Barack Obama failed to sell a Health Care Reform plan to American voters because the utter implausibility of its central promise - expanded coverage at lower cost - led voters to conclude that it would lead ultimately to more government, more taxes, and more debt." - Columnist, Charles Krauthammer

Today, upon completion, various news sources are reporting there was no clear winner. The fact that Republicans held their own though came as a surprise given the lengthy format and formidable debate-like setting. So what we already knew is now more certain: Democrats are committed to pursuing Obama Care through reconciliation, with major procedural hurdles in the Senate and no clear path to 218 in the House.

Wanted... Leaders!
LFF Announces 2010 Leadership Academy
Dates: June 25—July 5
Louisiana Family Forum seeks to identify, recruit, and train courageous young leaders for tomorrow. LFF is seeking 40 high school seniors through college sophomores, to answer the call to advance America’s original dream of limited government, free enterprise, rule of law, and traditional values. Past participants have described this Academy as “life changing.” Students and counselors alike will be trained to engage in the political and educational process. Many will affirm their calling in the areas of law, policy, media, and other careers that influence the public square.
One of the highlights of the 10-day Academy will be classes at the Leadership Institute in Arlington, Virginia. Students will also visit Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Richmond, Valley Forge, Monticello, and Mount Vernon.
