Week 55 will be the last week of prayer.
Week 55 will be the last week of prayer.

This continues to be a challenging season for many worldwide. As you know, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards introduced a “Stay-At-Home” order which took effect at 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 23rd. We believe the Church is entering one of its finest hours. During this time of fear, uncertainty, and panic, may we reflect the confident peace and strength that Christ calls us to.

Please join Louisiana Family Forum (LFF) as we help bring churches, pastors, leaders, and individuals together across the globe to pray for miraculous healing of our lands from the coronavirus and spiritual awakening among the nations.

Watch and listen to LFF President Gene Mills as he explains this effort that began over 55 weeks ago:

  • Pastors – engage your church by praying the current week’s prayer together in online weekend services. Individuals, pray the prayer daily at 7:14 each morning and night. Invite other pastors and leaders to join the movement.
  • Individuals – join the prayer movement, download the weekly prayer, and share the prayer movement with friends, loved ones, and on your social media pages.

Week Fifty-Five: 04/04/2021 - 04/10/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. — ACTS 2:24 (NIV)

Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places… — EPHESIANS 1:18-20 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

As we celebrate Easter throughout the global Body of Christ, our world is reeling in pain. Virtually every human on our planet has been impacted—in some form—by the death and devastation following the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic. We may still be facing times of physical, social, mental, economic, or cultural difficulty, but remember: there is no greater force in the world than the power released when Christ was raised from the dead! This is our confession today: “… it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him.” Resurrection is greater than death!

Heavenly Father, we come boldly before Your throne today, and we cry out with one voice. In the name of Jesus, resurrect the dreams, marriages, health, finances, faith, churches, unity, and hopes of Your people around the world. We confess that death cannot hold on us. We also ask You to resurrect the world’s faith in You through a powerful worldwide outpouring of Your Spirit. Please renew Your church in these days and save millions of precious souls.

We are so thankful today the same power which raised Christ from the dead is vitally at work in our lives as well. As part of our inheritance in Christ, we claim its full reality in our own lives as well as the lives of our brothers and sisters around the world. Every country in our world is in desperate need of Your resurrection power.

Lord, we boldly pray the prayer of the Apostle Paul today: Enlighten our hearts so we might see the immeasurable greatness of Your resurrection power. We know this revelation is a powerful barrier against the despair and hopelessness stalking our lives. We are also crying out for the mitigation and final eradication of the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, may these words resound through the courts of heaven and shake the gates of hell: resurrection, resurrection, resurrection! In the name of Jesus, hear our cry and answer us from on high.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Fifty-Four: 03/28/2021 - 04/03/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

…and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by His resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord… — ROMANS 1:4 (ESV)

“Come, let us return to the Lord; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him. Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord. His going out is sure as the dawn, he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.”— HOSEA 6:1-3 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, as Your Church around the world is remembering the death of Your Son and preparing to celebrate His resurrection, we stand on the fact there is nothing too difficult for You. You are the God of revival and resurrection. Therefore, we are determined to obey the command found in the words of the Prophet Hosea: “Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord…” No matter how dark and hopeless it seems, Your promises of intervention and salvation are as sure as the dawn of a new day. May this be our confession before You: COVID-19 is not the harbinger of our doom, but it is the herald of our dawn. It is a new day of spiritual harvest among the nations of the world, for You are the God of resurrection.

Lord, pierce the suffocating darkness of our world with the light of Your glorious gospel. May the gloom and doom pervading our planet gradually fade away as a new era of revival and outpouring dawns. As Your Church embraces the Great Commission, cause our communities, cities, and nations to be gripped by the Holy Spirit’s conviction. Yet, in the midst of these petitions, we give You praise for Your ongoing mitigation of COVID-19. Without Your intervention, millions more would have perished.

Hosea made a promise that “…He will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” This promise strengthens our resolve to stand in faith at this critical time in human history. We believe the fresh rains of heaven have the power to quench the thirst of our spiritually parched and broken world. As the flood gates of heaven open, the dark forces seeking to dam up the spread of the Gospel will be shattered.

Lord, with the promises of Hosea burning in our hearts, we boldly come before Your throne with our cry: “Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!” Even as you exhibited Your might and declared the divinity of Your Son through His resurrection from the dead, we pray for a fresh demonstration of Your power to rock our world today. May the tide of righteousness rise as Your freshly empowered Church boldly proclaims the Gospel. COVID has plowed up the hardened spiritual soil of our planet, but as Your Church sows in faith, we cry out again: “Let it rain! Let it rain! Let it rain!”

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Fifty-Three: 03/21/2021 - 03/27/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

“Come, let us return to the Lord; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him. Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” — HOSEA 6:1-3 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Lord, this Scripture displays Your awesome power to revive individuals, communities, and nations. We cry out for that same power today—for ourselves and the communities we have been called to serve. The cultures of our world will continue to languish in spiritual despair without a breath of revival to awaken Your Church and galvanize it to action. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Therefore, we dedicate ourselves to the lifestyle of prayer necessary to see a new day of revival dawn over our broken world.

In the name of Your precious Son, Jesus, we cry out with one voice: breath on us we pray. Pour out Your Spirit on our communities, cities, and nations. Revive the hopes and dreams of the battered peoples of our world as they turn to You in repentance and faith.

Heavenly Father, we receive the promise implied in the words of the prophet Hosea: “…on the third day he will raise us up.” The same resurrection power You demonstrated when You raised Your Son from the dead can also bring life to dead marriages, relationships, families, economies, and communities. Your resurrection power is the ultimate answer to the devastation left by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lord, raise up Your scattered, quarantined Church from the malaise, despair, and fear preying upon our hearts and minds. Fill us, instead, with fresh, vital faith! With one voice, we cry out before Your throne: eradicate COVID-19 from the earth, resurrect our hopes and dreams, and open our eyes to the harvest around us

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Fifty-Two: 03/14/2021 - 03/20/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, our nations have been torn. They have been struck by the pandemic. They have been shaken economically, socially, and culturally. You healed Israel of their brokenness in the past. We believe You also have the power to heal our hurting nations. Like Israel, however, we realize we must return to You before the process of restoration and healing can begin.

Lord, we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit to revive Your Church and transform our nations—as millions turn to You in repentance and faith. True healing begins when the Church returns to You and the nations awaken. With one voice, we cry out in prayer: Heal the ethnic, generational, and religious breaches in our shattered nations. Comfort those who mourn. Refresh and revive the weary, hopeless, and depressed.

Heavenly Father, You promise to bind up those who have been struck down. No matter what has struck us down, You can make us healthy again. Please bind us up and make us whole. Whether it is our marriages, families, finances, careers, or health issues–You have the healing and health we desperately need.

Lord, we cry out for those who have been struck down by depression, health issues, job losses, and relational conflicts. In the name of Your Son, Jesus, we ask You to heal and restore them to full health. We also ask You to comfort those who have suffered the loss of loved ones during the pandemic. Finally, we boldly come before Your throne with this cry: eradicate COVID-19, and heal our planet from its ravages!

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Fifty-One: 03/07/2021 - 03/13/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

So they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the Lord drives.  — ISAIAH 59:19 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Lord, we long for a period of time like the one described in Isaiah 59—a day when Your name is freshly known and revered around the world. Many of our meeting places have been shuttered. We have been quarantined and distanced. Many of us have even faced renewed persecution, deep social unrest, and the lack of life’s basic necessities. The physical, emotional, mental, and relational toll on the world we have been called to serve is immense. We are desperate for Your intervention.

Heavenly Father, make Your Name known among the peoples of the world. Revive us we pray. Freshly empower us to proclaim the Gospel in our communities, cities, and nations. As Your glory is freshly revealed on the earth, may the light of Your countenance dispel the darkness!

Lord, our world has been flooded with sorrow, pain, and hopelessness. As much as we are thankful for the wonders of modern science and medicine, only You can drive back and dispel the waves of darkness battering hearts and minds around the world. We are convinced this present darkness in our world is the very canvas on which You will display Your glory.

In the name of Your precious Son, Jesus, we cry out with one voice. Send a fresh tidal wave of Your Spirit to shatter the powers of darkness and immerse our world in revival and worldwide awakening. We cry out for Your powerful breath to drive back COVID, along with the terror and despair in its wake. Breathe on us, breathe on us, we pray. Freshly fill us with Your Spirit, so we might have the power we need to serve You today. Come like a mighty rushing wind and awaken your slumbering Body—the Church—around the world!

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Fifty: 02/28/2021 - 03/06/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off. When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish.  — JOHN 21:7-13 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

When Peter heard John’s cry, “It is the Lord!,” he realized there was still a harvest for him. Despite his failures and denials, he would drag this amazing harvest in once he had swum ashore. It is no different for us today; no matter what we have faced and how we have responded over the past year, there is still a harvest for us as well.

Lord Jesus, help Your people around the world to hear Your voice clearly in the darkness of the new day’s dawn. We cry out with one voice and say, “Lord, anoint Your people to embrace the incredible harvest waiting for them in their cities, communities, and nations.” We choose to step into the harvest today, just like Peter. For those who are still too discouraged to recognize Your voice, use us – like You used John – to awaken them to the reality of Your purpose. Regather Your scattered people into their local churches, and send them into the harvest fields, we pray.

Lord, even though Your disciples fished all night and caught nothing, You never stopped fishing. Your word is clear: “When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it.” It is no different for Your church today. Despite all the challenges with COVID, You have continually been fishing spiritually among the broken peoples of our hurting world. Only one question remains: will we remain preoccupied with our own problems and pain, or will we join You in the harvest of a lifetime?

In the name of Jesus, we are crying out for a fresh worldwide outpouring of the Holy Spirit which will revive Your Church and launch them into evangelism and discipleship. Heavenly Father, shatter the deceptive darkness over the world’s peoples by Your mighty power, so they can clearly hear and respond to the message of the Gospel. As this fresh wave of Your Spirit churns through the continents of our planet, we also ask You to glorify Your name through the eradication of COVID-19.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Forty-Nine: 02/21/2021 - 02/27/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.  Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.  Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered Him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish.  That disciple whom Jesus loved, therefore, said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off.  — JOHN 21:3-8 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Even after Jesus saw the disciples in Jerusalem, they were still reluctant to leave. Finally, seven of the eleven remaining disciples made the three-day journey to Galilee to meet with their Master. Yet, they were still bound by fear and worry. They fished all night in the Sea of Galilee and caught nothing. Despite their exhaustion and despair, Jesus came to them. Hidden in the darkness of a new day, He had come to recommission them through the miraculous catch of a lifetime. It is no different for us today. Our gloom and doom will soon be swallowed up by the dawn of revival!

Jesus, it can be hard to see You amidst the darkness swirling around us. But, we believe You are with us. Help us to boldly proclaim the Gospel in our neighborhoods, communities, and cities. COVID will not define us, and lockdowns will not lock up our faith. We cry out before You with one voice. Please drive back this pandemic and release the power of Your Holy Spirit.

The disciples were deafened by unbelief and despair. They could not recognize the voice of their Master. Yet, when they took a step of faith and cast their nets out on the right side of the boat, they were rewarded with a massive harvest. These verses capture the promise awaiting the church today. Even as the disciples obeyed and cast out their nets again, so we choose to reach out to those around us. If we will respond to Your voice today, the harvest of a lifetime awaits us.

Lord, help us to hear and respond to Your voice. Revive us, we pray, with a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. Even if we have fished all night and caught nothing, we still believe for a harvest at the break of a new day. Fill us with fresh faith and recommission us to make disciples among all the peoples of the world.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Forty-Eight: 02/14/2021 - 02/20/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.  Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, even so I am sending you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”  — JOHN 20:19-22 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Self-quarantined, behind locked doors under their fear of death, the disciples were unlikely candidates for one of the greatest revivals in human history. This revival would sweep through Jerusalem and travel to most every city in the Roman Empire. We actually find ourselves in a similar place today. Like the disciples, we are battling fear and despair as we are distanced and quarantined in cities around the world. Yet, the same Jesus who walked through walls 2,000 years ago is even now walking through walls of our lockdowns today. He has come to revive our faith and strengthen our resolve for the battles ahead. His words have not changed: “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, even so, I am sending you.”

Lord, we are thankful that even in those cities where church buildings are locked up, it is impossible to lock You out! There is no physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental barrier Your loving power cannot penetrate. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, fill us with Your peace. Send us afresh into the harvest fields with the passion of Your love and the power of Your Spirit. Bring us out of the mire and into Your mission, we pray, for we are standing at the dawn of a brand-new day.

Lord, we have fought for breath month after month. For some of us, it has been physical. But for others, it has been social, ethnic, and economic. When You walked into the locked-down lives of Your disciples, You didn’t come with mere words. You breathed Your very Spirit into them. We are thankful! We, too, are desperate for fresh breath, and You are our only hope.

Breathe on us! Breathe on us! Breathe on us, we pray! Refresh our spirits and ignite our faith! Revive Your Church through a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit, which will shatter the gates of Hell and transform our nations. Drive back COVID through the blast of Your breath and heal our broken communities.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Forty-Seven: 02/07/2021 - 02/13/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. “Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth!” The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.  — PSALM 46:6-11 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Lord, we live in a time like the one described by the Psalmist above. Nations are raging. Kingdoms are tottering. Many things—on which the world has depended—seem to be melting away. Yet, we confess You are with us. No matter how the governments of our nations and communities are shaken, our souls are fortified by the fact we have a King and Kingdom which cannot be shaken. We take comfort from the knowledge You have the power to make wars cease. With this same power, You can end the pandemic, heal our fractured nations, and revive our economies. Nothing is too difficult for You!

Heavenly Father, as we come before Your throne today, our weary souls have been renewed and strengthened by the reality of Your power and might. In the name of Your precious Son, Jesus, heal our divided nations, halt the pandemic, and help our economies to recover. We ask You to fortify the hearts of Your children around the world who are suffering because of persecution and economic deprivation.

In the midst of the pandemonium and chaos around us, help us to be still and quiet on the inside. Our faith in Your promise to be exalted in the nations will grow strong in the place of peace. You are with us! That is the ultimate antidote to the rising tide of anxiety and despondency washing over our world.

Jesus, we quiet our souls in Your presence today. From this place of peace, we ask You to exalt Your name in the nations through an outpouring of the Spirit. Revive Your church and bring salvation to millions of precious souls. As our fortress, drive back the tide of darkness overwhelming our world.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Forty-Six: 01/31/2021 - 02/06/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.  God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.  — PSALM 46:1-5 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, everything around us is shaking. Even as our economies are struggling, COVID is still stalking us, and our nations and communities are fractured and polarized, we choose to take refuge in You. You are not a distant God who is unable to empathize and sympathize with the plight of Your creation. In fact, You are “…a very present help in trouble.” As our whole world trembles in fear, we reach out to You by faith, in praise and prayer, and we receive the life-giving streams of peace and security which only Your presence and power can bring.

Lord, we cry to You today: Freshly fill us with Your peace, that we might become ambassadors of Your peace to a world wracked by terror and anxiety. As the world’s governments grasp for answers, we ask You to establish the government of Your Kingdom in our cities, communities, and nations. In the name of Jesus, we cry out for streams and rivers of Holy Spirit awakening to be released into every one of the world’s continents.

We refuse to be moved any longer by fear, despair, depression, or anger. The thick darkness suffocating our planet is not an indicator of our doom. A new day of revival and transformation is dawning, but it is simply too dark to see it yet. Your promise to help us at dawn is greater than COVID, economic chaos, persecution, polarization, or anarchy. We stand on the promise of Your divine help today.

Heavenly Father, help us, we pray. The forces of destruction can only be held at bay by the release of Your mighty Word. We stand before Your throne, on behalf of our nations, crying out: Lord, heal our lands from this pandemic, unemployment, injustice, and division. There is no answer but You. As governments totter and nations tremble, we cling to You. We rise up with millions of other Christians around the world, in the darkness of this dark hour, and we cry out to You. We cannot be moved when we stand on Your Word. Therefore, we speak to the mountains of peril and pain which are casting dark shadows over the peoples of our world, and we command them to MOVE! Be uprooted from our planet, and be eradicated, in Jesus’ name.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Forty-Five: 01/24/2021 - 01/30/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a sound, and behold, a rattling, and the bones came together, bone to its bone. And I looked, and behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh had come upon them, and skin had covered them. But there was no breath in them. Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”  So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.  Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are indeed cut off.”  — EZEKIEL 37:7-11 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, when Ezekiel prophesied, a miracle of resurrection took place. The scattered bones were reformed. Flesh and sinews supernaturally covered them. Your divine breath infused their corpses with life. Lord, our nations have not just been shattered by COVID. They have been broken economically, and they are divided religiously, politically, and ethnically. Past injustices and hatreds have reemerged. Many of our communities and cities have become extremely polarized. They have begun demonizing those they disagree with as a norm. We desperately need You to reform the “bones” of our nations and restore the sinews of love and affection which once bound us together in unity.

Lord, pour out Your Spirit on our broken, divided nations. Freshly unify our churches so the world can see what is possible in You. Please deal with the bias, prejudice, and fear lurking in our hearts, so we might live as the ambassadors of reconciliation You have called us to be. Please comfort those who have lost loved ones, and strengthen and heal those who are currently battling COVID-19 themselves.

Precious Savior, many people around the world feel the same as the ancient Israelites did. They feel as if they have been cut off from help, and their hope is lost. Yet, even in the midst of such a monstrous catastrophe, there is cause for real, lasting hope. Even if humans fail and their institutions collapse, there is a God who never fails. We believe You are unlocking the hearts of millions through the challenges rocking our world today.

Heavenly Father, we come boldly before Your throne with this prayer: In the name of Jesus, may the misplaced hopes of billions around the world be restored and renewed—as they place their hope in You. As you freshly pour out your Spirit on the continents of our world, we ask You to save millions of precious souls.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Forty-Four: 01/17/2021 - 01/23/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

The hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley; it was full of bones. And he led me around among them, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley, and behold, they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, you know.” Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live, and you shall know that I am the Lord.”  — EZEKIEL 37:1-6 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Ezekiel’s nation, Israel, was crushed, broken, and destroyed. All that was left of the once-great nation was a valley of dry bones. When asked if the bones could live again, Ezekiel said, “Oh, Lord God, You know.” As we survey the pain and death in our nations today, we realize You are the only answer for the devastation of COVID and the strife and unrest. Therefore, even as Ezekiel prophesied to the dry bones of Israel, we choose to speak and pray Your life over the pain in our nations.

We speak to the death and oppression permeating our cities, nations, and communities: In the name of Jesus, we command both to dissipate! We also pray, Lord, for You to destroy the depression and despair gripping the hearts of the world’s peoples; please replace it with the hope found in You and Your purposes. Thank You for Your continued mitigation of COVID-19. We continue to cry out for its eradication.

Heavenly Father, as Ezekiel was prophesying, You promised to resurrect his broken nation by freshly breathing on those dry bones that remained. Our nations are desperate for a fresh infusion of Your divine breath. Without the winds of revival and restoration, our nations may never recover. Our economies are languishing, and millions are grieving for lost loved ones, lost jobs, and lost relationships. We are desperate for the touch that only You can bring.

Heavenly Father, we cry out for a fresh infusion of Your Spirit. Please send a revival that will heal our nations and set millions free. Empower us to boldly proclaim the Gospel to our lost neighbors and darkened cultures. Fill us with fresh love for the broken humanity You came to save, for the hour is dark and the need is grave.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Forty-Three: 01/10/2021 - 01/16/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. — PSALM 23:4-6 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we have been walking through the “valley of the shadow of death”  for many months now. In a world scarred by division and traumatized by pain, the temptation to succumb to fear and despair is constant. This pandemic has resulted in many physical deaths, but also emotional, mental, financial, and economic downfalls as well. Today, however, we choose to fear no evil, for You are with us. Your presence and power are greater than anything we have faced or ever will face. Our souls are comforted and secured by the fact that You are both the Sovereign of the universe and our loving Shepherd.

Almighty God, we humble ourselves before You as the Sovereign of the universe, and we ask You to hear the prayers and cries of Your people around the world. We implore You to exercise the rod of Your authority against COVID-19. Smite it by Your power and eradicate it from our world, both directly and indirectly, through medical intervention as well as Your healing touch. You are our great Shepherd. We ask You to pour out Your comfort and love on our broken planet.

Lord, in the midst of conflict, challenge, and pain, You promise to prepare a table of provision for us. We come to Your table today, knowing we will find renewed strength as we worship You and feed on Your Word. We are desperate for a fresh in-filling of Your Spirit. We cling to Your promise to anoint our heads with oil. This anointing will bring faith, hope, and joy as Your fresh life and love flows to us—and through us—to those around us.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, freshly fill us with Your Spirit today. Embolden and empower us for evangelism as we share the gospel with those around us. Send a mighty revival, which will shatter the gates of hell and rend the veil of spiritual darkness blinding the eyes of the world’s peoples. May Your faith, hope, and love flow into our lives with torrential power, bringing an overflow into our communities, cities, and nations.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Forty-Two: 01/03/2021 - 01/09/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”  — PSALM 23:1-3 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Lord, we are so thankful You are our shepherd. As we enter 2021, we feel a keen need to experience Your shepherding hand. Only You can lead us through the complex challenges and perils this new year will bring. Yet, even greater than the problems we are already facing are the promises we are claiming for 2021. Today we stand on the ancient promise of Psalm 23:1 declaring I shall not want. We are grateful for the natural breakthroughs in medical science and the supernatural mitigation of COVID-19. Without your direct intervention, the loss of life around the world would have been far greater.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Your Son, Jesus, we boldly come before Your throne with one voice, crying out: deliver us from COVID-19 and uproot this virus from this world. Strengthen, protect, and refresh scientists, medical professionals, and first responders as they battle this pandemic.

The mental and emotional toll of this pandemic has been widespread. Lord, help us to find true rest in the green pastures of Your Word and Spirit. You have the power to restore us from the fear and despair ravaging our souls. We realize this restoration does not come only through our individual time in Your presence and Word, but it is corporate in nature as well. Those of us who have the opportunity to worship in person during this time are very thankful, but those who can at least experience worship online are grateful, too. We all, however, desperately long for the day when we can freely fellowship with our brothers and sisters face to face!

Lord, we come before You with one voice, alongside millions of other believers. We ask You to restore our souls and make us whole. Lead us, Lord, in paths of bold witness and Spirit-empowered evangelism. Restore the broken souls of our nations and communities through a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. Please sweep millions of precious ones into Your Kingdom. As we feed in the green pastures of Your Word, give us the fresh strength we need to embrace Your will, fully.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Forty-One: 12/27/2020 - 1/2/2021 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily  bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil .”  — MATTHEW 6:9-13 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Lord, You teach us to pray, “Lead us not into temptation.” In the midst of this pandemic and the pain it has wrought, we can daily be tempted to become cynical, angry, frightened, and unbelieving. Yet, we look to You, Jesus, today. We find strength and comfort in the fact that You, too, lived in a world of hopelessness, oppression, and pain, and You were tempted in every possible way, yet You never sinned. Fill us with fresh resolve as we take our stand against these temptations. You say, “…My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9a)

Lord, in a world overwhelmed by rage, hopelessness, despair, and terror, we refuse to succumb to the enticing temptation of these deadly emotions. We resist the devil, knowing he must flee, and combat him through these following words: “Satan, in the name of Jesus, we resist your temptations!” Instead, we say, “Yes!” to our Heavenly Father and for His will for our lives! We will not slip away quietly into darkness and depression, the relentless highway to emotional doom. With millions of other believers, we stand before Your throne and boldly say, “COVID-19, be uprooted from our planet! Be replaced with a fresh revival of God’s presence and His Spirit.”

Heavenly Father, our world is in an evil hour. Therefore, we fervently utter the final words of the prayer Your Son, Jesus, taught us to pray: “Deliver us from evil.” The evils of COVID-19 are relentless calamities, panic, polarization, and economic chaos. You promise never to give us more than we can bear without providing a way of escape, so we can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). We choose to live in the protection and security of Your presence and promises today. We take our stand with You on the spiritual harvest fields of our broken cities and nations—in the face of brazen evil and unceasing temptation.

In the name of Jesus, we boldly ask You to deliver us from this present evil through the growth of Your Church and the advance of Your Kingdom in the world. Reveal and deal with the deceptive strategies of the enemy, and heal both our hearts and the hearts of those around us from the poisonous effects of these strategies. May Your Kingdom come! May Your will be done! Deliver us from evil, we pray.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Forty: 12/20/2020 - 12/26/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

THE PRAYER

Lord Jesus, You taught us to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread.” We are part of a prayer coalition representing 180 different nations. Millions are in need of daily sustenance. Some are unemployed. Many people are hungry and starving. We thank you today that Heaven’s pantry is not empty! For those outside Your Kingdom, things can even be worse. As for those who are prospering, help them care for those who are hungry and destitute as if they, too, were impoverished.

Lord, today we cry out: Give us an outpouring of Heaven’s bread. If You provided supernaturally for the Israelites in the wilderness, You can provide for Your people today. We cry out for those who are unemployed. Provide them jobs, we pray. Meet the needs of those who are starving; please open the wells of generosity in people’s hearts around the world. You have shown us Your abundant mercy in the midst of pain and plague. Above all, Jesus, the bread of Heaven, we cry out to You in faith; as we meet You through Your Word and prayer, fill us with Your life and Your presence.

Heavenly Father, in this hour of incredible pressure and need, it is easy to grow angry with those groups and individuals who are failing or threatening us. Whether they are government officials or workers, employers, landlords, friends, or family members, today we choose to forgive, even as You have forgiven us. Forgive us and cleanse us afresh for our own prejudice and bitterness, too, we pray. Where we have stereotyped whole groups of people based on their ethnicity, gender, or socioeconomic background, deliver us from this blinding bias, so we might see people through Your eyes.

Lord, we ask You to cleanse us from bias, profiling, prejudice, unforgiveness, and bitterness, for judgment must start first in Your own house. As you cleanse and forgive us, we come boldly before Your throne, crying out: Let Your love for us be magnified, so it radiates into our divided and broken nations. Heal the strife between us, which has existed for centuries, and the volcanic forces of pain, hopelessness, and anger which are fracturing the world once again. Send us a powerful revival to wash away offenses and sweep the oppressed masses of our world into the arms of Your redeeming love.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Thirty-Nine: 12/13/2020 - 12/19/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil .”
— MATTHEW 6:9-13 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, our world is shaking. In some countries, Your precious people are being oppressed—and even persecuted. Governments are being besieged by angry citizens and being shaken to their very core. With newsfeeds spewing hatred, fear, and bias, we are thankful You are seated on Your Heavenly throne. Your plans for our world will not be thwarted; they will not be frustrated. We rest securely today, under Your rule and Your sovereignty. We hallow Your great Name above the name of every person, problem, pain, and political system in our world.

Lord, fill us with Your peace, confidence, and tranquility today. Your Name is greater than COVID. Even as You have mitigated this pandemic, we cry out, ”Crush COVID! Crush it under Your feet!” Both indirectly—through the wisdom You give medical professionals—and directly—through Your divine intervention—You have shown mercy to this planet. Though we grieve each and every loss, Your intervention has spared millions who could have perished. Today, we join our voices with the heavenly hosts: “Holy! Holy! Holy is Your name!”

Lord Jesus, You taught us to pray, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” We cry out for Your Kingdom to come to the earth afresh today. Awaken Your Church to the reality of her mission, and empower her for its fulfillment. We desperately need a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit on our broken planet. We need an outpouring of divine light to pierce through the demonic, moral, and philosophical darkness which brings spiritual blindness all over the world.

Heavenly Father, we come to You in holy desperation. Thy Kingdom come! Thy Kingdom come! Thy Kingdom come! Come—in revival power! Come—in evangelism through Your Church around the world! Our planet is broken beyond repair; no government on the earth can deal with the virus of sin and death. Heaven come down, revival fall, exercise Your will—in every one of our cities, communities, and nations. Hear our cry, harken to our plight; the world is covered in thick darkness, and we are desperate for Your light!

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Thirty-Eight: 12/06/2020 - 12/12/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

Let the godly exult in glory;
let them sing for joy on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their throats
and two-edged swords in their hands,
to execute vengeance on the nations
and punishments on the peoples,
to bind their kings with chains
and their nobles with fetters of iron,
to execute on them the judgment written!
This is honor for all His godly ones.
Praise the Lord!  — PSALM 149:5-9 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Lord, You have placed a two-edged sword in our hands. In Hebrew, the word “edge” can refer to the word “mouth,” as in the mouth of a river. When our mouth speaks or prays the words Your mouth has spoken, great power is released. This sword of the Spirit (Eph. 6:17) is the weapon used to destroy Your enemies: “From his mouth comes a sharp sword…” (Rev. 19:15). We wield this two-edged sword with power and precision today.

Heavenly Father, You say in Psalm 2:8, “Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.” Therefore, today we come boldly before Your throne, with millions of Your people from 180 nations, proclaiming and praying these words: Lord, give us our communities, our cities, our countries, and every nation of the world. Revive Your Church, and save millions upon millions of precious souls through a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit.

Almighty God, Your Word promises in Matthew 16:19, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” These keys of the kingdom of heaven are ours today as well. You also promise in Psalm 149:8 that every form of opposition to the advance of Your Kingdom can be locked up, chained, and fettered through praise and prayer. We stand on these words today.

Lord, the advancement of Your Kingdom is being opposed in some nations around the world. In the name of Your Son Jesus, push back the opposition to the advance of Your glorious Kingdom. Even as one day You will bind Satan for a thousand years (Rev. 20:1-3); we cry out now and ask You to spiritually fetter and chain the deceptive powers blinding the world’s peoples. Finally, we ask You, by Your authority, to do what our world has been unable to do: we ask You to completely eradicate COVID-19 from our world.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Thirty-Seven: 11/29/2020 - 12/05/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

Let the godly exult in glory;
let them sing for joy on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their throats
and two-edged swords in their hands,
to execute vengeance on the nations
and punishments on the peoples,
to bind their kings with chains
and their nobles with fetters of iron,
to execute on them the judgment written!
This is honor for all His godly ones.
Praise the Lord!  — PSALM 149:5-9 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Lord, we have been given an incredible honor. We have the privilege, through the power of prayer and praise, to help execute Your will and advance Your Kingdom on the earth. Whether we find ourselves on the bed of affliction, depression, scarcity, or despair, we choose to exult in the glory of who You are.

Heavenly Father, fill us with supernatural joy as we embrace our calling to praise and prayer. Scripture clearly promises the end of Satan and the demonic hosts. We take our stand on these promises today as we renounce unbelief and pronounce Your powerful Word. In the name of Jesus, we bind the powers and principalities blinding the peoples of the world, and we ask You for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit.

We also come before You with high praises in our mouths. Even when it seems like a sacrifice, we lift praises that reach to the highest heavens because You are worthy of all praise. No matter how we are feeling or what we are facing, we choose to worship and praise You today.

We praise You, Lord, and we thank You for mitigating COVID-19. Although we grieve the loss of the thousands who have died, millions more would already be gone without Your help and intervention. We ask You to comfort those who have suffered loss and to grant wisdom and strength to doctors, scientists, and first responders. We ask You, in the mighty name of Your Son, Jesus, to eradicate this pandemic from our planet.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Thirty-Six: 11/22/2020 - 11/28/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

Blessed be the Lord, for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me when I was in a besieged city. I had said in my alarm, “I am cut off from your sight.” But you heard the voice of my pleas for mercy when I cried to you for help.
— PSALM 31:21-22 (ESV)

And the Rabshakeh said to them, “Say to Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria: On what do you rest this trust of yours? Do you think that mere words are strategy and power for war? In whom do you now trust, that you have rebelled against me?’”…“Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria: He shall not come into this city or shoot an arrow there, or come before it with a shield or cast up a siege mound against it.  By the way that he came, by the same he shall return, and he shall not come into this city, declares the Lord.  For I will defend this city to save it, for My own sake and for the sake of my servant David.” And that night the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians…
— 2 KINGS 18:19-20, 19:32-35 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

We feel besieged on every side, Lord, like the psalmist above. It is easy to feel cut off from Your sight when we are stalked by a relentless pandemic and face shattered economies and fractured social structures. If this situation was not dire enough, many of our precious brothers and sisters around the world are facing hunger, persecution, and even war. Yet, we choose to believe that You will hear our cries for mercy.

Heavenly Father, in the midst of the siege warfare being waged against us, please show us the miraculous wonders of Your love. You have heard our cries for mercy. Even as You have mitigated COVID-19, we now ask You to eradicate it, for nothing is too difficult for You.

Lord, when the armies of Assyria were preparing to besiege Jerusalem, all hope for God’s people seemed gone. The devil’s strategy has not changed. He is still mocking us for trusting in Your Word. Your answer has not changed, either. Even as You destroyed the armies of Assyria, You will destroy the besieging forces arrayed against us now.

Lord, we renounce the enemy’s lies. Your Word is the most powerful strategic weapon of war in history. When we speak Your Word, the enemy trembles. When we pray Your Word, the gates of hell are shattered, and Your Kingdom advances. We come before Your throne as a mighty army, washed in the blood of the Lamb. May the war cry of this prayer resound throughout the courts of Heaven; may it pierce the darkness which blinds our world. Lord, shatter the dark forces that besiege us, grant us a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit, and heal our shattered nations

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Thirty-Five: 11/15/2020 - 11/21/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
— EPHESIANS 6:12 (ESV)

In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
— 2 CORINTHIANS 4:4 (ESV)

And he will swallow up on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples…
— ISAIAH 25:7 (ESV)

“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
— LUKE 10:19 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we have been assailed by external enemies on every side: a brutal pandemic, terrifying disasters, economic breakdown, and polarizing division. Yet despite the realities of these clear and present dangers, the places described by the apostle Paul have even more deadly foes. These powers and principalities (angels that fell with Satan) blind, deceive, and torment the precious humans we have been called to reach with the Gospel. We cannot defeat these powers on our own. You have chosen to exercise Your authority through us.

Lord, open our eyes to the reality of the spiritual conflict we have been called to fight. Give us the faith we need to engage this battle through prayer. We also cry to You, with one voice, for a sweeping move of Your Spirit that will drive back the darkness over our communities, cities, and nations.

Almighty God, You promise, through the prophet Isaiah, to destroy the deception and darkness covering the nations of the world. We claim this promise today, knowing when we come before You in prayer in the name of Your Son, Jesus, we have authority over the works of darkness. In a world seemingly dominated by moral degeneration, political divisiveness, ideological deception, and bitter hatred, we stand in faith on the promises and power of Scripture.

In the name of Jesus, we boldly come before You, crying out with one voice, with millions upon millions of believers from 180 nations. Lord, pierce the shroud of deception that veils our world, embolden us to proclaim the Gospel, drive back COVID-19, and shake our world with revival power!

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Thirty-Four: 11/08/2020 - 11/14/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.
— EPHESIANS 6:18-20 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, at this critical hour of human history, we take our stand on Your promises. We are thankful You have not left us unarmed. We freshly take up one of the mightiest weapons in our spiritual armory: PRAYER. You command us to pray “…in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.” Today, we wield that authority—given to us through the name of Jesus—and ask You to eradicate COVID-19 and our lands.

In the name of Jesus, we command COVID-19 to be mitigated and finally eradicated from our planet. We also pray for wisdom and grace for the scientists who are developing a vaccine.

Lord, many of our brothers and sisters around the world are undergoing intense suffering. Many have suffered the loss of loved ones and friends, and some are unemployed with no natural hope for the future. If this were not enough, millions of our brothers and sisters around the world are facing persecution, injustice, and bias. As our world continues to be wracked with ethnic and social tensions, You are the only lasting Answer.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne today, asking You to increase the faith of Your people who are suffering around the world. Fill them with Your fresh peace and joy. Please give strength and hope to those who are currently enduring persecution and injustice. In addition, we cry out for fresh opportunities and supernatural provision for those who are unemployed and struggling to survive. Finally, we pray You would heal our nations from division and racial strife.

Almighty God, the deadliest pandemic in the world is not viral, but spiritual. It is the power of sin and death. Where there is sin, death always follows, and the message of the Gospel is the only answer.

Heavenly Father, embolden and empower us to share the Gospel. Give us the redemptive words we need to respond to those who are hurting and searching. Please send a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit to revive Your Church and result in the conversion of millions and millions of people around the world.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Thirty-Two: 10/25/2020 - 10/31/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one…
— EPHESIANS 6:13-16

THE PRAYER

Our world has been rocked by plague, pestilence, scarcity, divisions, and disasters. We are living in what Scripture calls “The Evil Day.” Fortunately, we have not been left unprotected and unarmed. We put on the armor of the Gospel today. Like divine cleats, the Gospel gives us the stability we need to stand firm in an hour when everything is shaking.

Heavenly Father, we come boldly before Your throne today, crying out before You with one voice representing 180 nations. In the name of Jesus, send a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit to revive Your church and result in the conversion of millions of new believers. As we proclaim the Gospel’s message to a desperate world, help us to take our stand on its promises and its power.

We take up the shield of faith as we see depression, despair, and defeat piercing the hearts of many. The power of these fiery darts is extinguished through faith in Your promises. The shield of faith is a powerful weapon. So today, we bring the battle to COVID-19. We slam our faith into its grim threat. We declare this coronavirus has been mitigated and will be eradicated.

Lord, in the name of Your Son, Jesus, extinguish the pain of despair and depression burning in our hearts and terminate it also in the hearts of those we love. As we take our stand against COVID-19, we ask You to eradicate it. We remain shielded by faith in Your person and promises

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

AMEN.

Week Thirty-one: 10/18/2020 - 10/24/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God…
— EPHESIANS 6:17

But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
— 1 THESSALONIANS 5:8

THE PRAYER

When we are assailed by fears and doubts, it is a battle at times to believe a new day is truly dawning. Therefore, we put on the helmet of salvation, knowing even when our faith seems to fail us, we can hope in Your eternal promises. Your Word makes it clear that we win in the end. The enemy’s doom is sure. One day, all the kingdoms of the world will become Yours. No matter what we are facing, when we see You on that great day, we’ll become like You, and our pain and brokenness will pass away.

Heavenly Father, fill us with fresh hope today. No matter how life’s battles are ebbing and flowing around us, we take our stand in You. Heal our broken cities and countries from their divisions and pour out Your Spirit on our world.

Lord, You have armed us with the planet’s most powerful weapon—the sword of the Spirit—Your precious Word. When we speak Your Word, explosive power is released. Even as Your Son, Jesus, defeated Satan in the wilderness through Your Word, we too can rely on Your Word in our battles today.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus, we command COVID-19 to be uprooted from our planet and eradicated. We also employ Your powerful Word as we battle the divisions in both Your Church and the nations we serve: “For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility.” (Ephesians 2:14)

In Jesus’ name we pray.

AMEN.

Week Thirty: 10/11/2020 - 10/17/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,  and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints…
— EPHESIANS 6:10-18 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Lord, the nations of our world are still being overwhelmed by COVID-19. Their economies are reeling, and their unity is increasingly fractured by growing tensions. In many countries, despondency has filled the land. Despair is slowly strangling the hopes and dreams of countless precious souls. We live in what Scripture refers to as the “Evil Day” –- a day when it is impossible to persevere without Your supernatural help.

Heavenly Father, we come boldly before Your throne today, and we ask for divine strength to stand and pray faithfully. We implore You to destroy the cloud of fear and despair covering the peoples of our world.

Lord, we are not defenseless in this dark hour. For You have given us a full set of spiritual armor—the armor of God (Eph. 6:10-18). We buckle the belt of truth around our waists so we will not stumble and fall in the day of battle. Our reality is not determined by the siren of hopelessness and despair. Our reality is determined by Your Word! Therefore, we boldly proclaim the name of Jesus is greater than the name of COVID-19. We also stand on Your promise that when we humble ourselves, turn from our wicked ways, and pray, You will heal our lands. (2 Chronicles 7:14) We refuse to live by what we see. Instead, we choose to live by what You say.

Heavenly Father, we boldly come before Your throne in the name of Your Son, Jesus, armed with the truth of what You say. We ask You to eradicate COVID-19 and heal our cities and nations.

We also freshly put on the breastplate of righteousness today. Through Your redemptive work, Lord Jesus, we have been declared righteous. Nothing can separate us from Your love. We also desire Your continued work of sanctification, for we want to become more like You.

Heavenly Father, we have been given the righteousness we need through justification by faith to come before Your throne and pray this prayer boldly. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on the nations of the world in such a way that Your Church is revived and millions are saved. In Jesus’ name.

AMEN.

Week Twenty-Nine: 10/04/2020 - 10/10/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

This continued for two years so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews, and Greeks.
— ACTS 19:10 (ESV)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. — EPHESIANS 6:10-18 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, the Apostle Paul experienced a supernatural time of fruitfulness in the city of Ephesus. With a small team, what started as a church plant of twelve transformed one of the darkest cities in the Roman world. The spiritual impact of this church was so profound that the message of the Gospel affected the whole province of Asia. In the words of Paul, “So the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily.” (Acts 19:20)

Father, infiltrate our cities and nations, as you did in Ephesus, through the preaching of the Gospel and a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Today, we choose to be strong in You, Lord. We are thankful for Your power and strength in our lives. Help us to realize more every day that our ultimate battles are not against viruses or even our fellow humans. We are in a battle with the demonic hosts of our greatest adversary, the devil. Our foes are not mere humans. We cannot afford to contend with them as if we were in the natural realm. We must war with spiritual weaponry–the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, we come before You today, not as individuals, but as a unified prayer army representing 180 nations. We ask You to expose Satan and his hosts, who are blinding billions of people in our world through lies and deception. The light of the Gospel is greater than the deepest darkness.

Lord, in an hour that Your Word designates as “the evil day,” You have given us the privilege to serve You. COVID-19 is still churning through the nations of the world. Our economies have been damaged. The seams of our nations are in danger of splitting. Societal, ethnic, and political tensions are spilling over into the streets of our cities. We take our stand on this truth: the name of Jesus is greater than the power of any virus and unrest. Jesus has the power to eradicate this disease, heal our economies, and save our world.

Lord, we come before Your throne, in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus. We ask You to eradicate COVID-19 and heal our fractured lands.

AMEN.

Week Twenty-Eight: 9/27/2020 - 10/3/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call…
— EPHESIANS 4:1-4 (ESV)

Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.”
— GENESIS 11:4-6 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, Your Scriptures make it clear that unity creates tremendous blessing and releases extraordinary power. We see Your matchless power released when even two Christians agree on anything, as seen in Matthew 18:19. Unity is an impactful multiplier of spiritual power. When Your people unite in prayer they become agents of transformation in the culture.

Lord, we thank You for creating Unite714, this worldwide coalition of unified prayer. We refuse to waste this divine opportunity. We come before You with one voice, asking You to heal our wounded lands, restore our broken economies, and pour out Your Spirit on the peoples of the world.

Lord, the enemy fears the power of divine unity and will do anything to see it shattered. He has found good soil for sowing discord, frustration, and impatience. In 2020, our enemy, the accuser of the brethren, has had the opportunity to sow seeds of division into our homes, cherished relationships, and churches. This is why the Apostle Paul’s command to “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit” is even more essential in this critical hour. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and the unconditional love of God we have the power to love, to forgive, and to humble ourselves–even when everything around us is shaking.

Heavenly Father, in an hour, when social tensions are on the rise, and the unity of nations around the world has been fractured through ethnic, class, and political divisions, the unity of Your church is vital. In the name of Your Son Jesus, unify the homes, relationships, and churches of Your people around the world. Give us, we pray, the strength to contend for the unity You desire.

Lord, there is great power in unity. We know the enemy is terrified by the very thought of Your people walking and praying united. It is clear from Genesis 11 that even unbelievers have incredible power when they are unified. Before You scattered the peoples of the world at the Tower of Babel, You described the awesome power of unity with these words: “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language,…and nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.”  If this is true of unbelievers, it is impossible to calculate the power released when Your church comes before You—with one voice—in unified prayer.

Heavenly Father, today we come before You as part of a prayer coalition spanning the globe, made up of millions of believers around the world who are praying with one voice, through every time zone. In the name of Jesus, preserve our unity, heal our lands from the ravages of COVID-19, and freshly pour out Your Spirit on our fractured planet.

AMEN.

Week Twenty-Seven: 9/20/2020 - 9/26/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church. Now when Herod was about to bring him out, on that very night, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries before the door were guarding the prison. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands. And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.” And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. When they had passed the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city. It opened for them of its own accord, and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel left him. When Peter came to himself, he said, “Now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.” When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose other name was Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying. And when he knocked at the door of the gateway, a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer. Recognizing Peter’s voice, in her joy she did not open the gate but ran in and reported that Peter was standing at the gate. They said to her, “You are out of your mind.” But she kept insisting that it was so, and they kept saying, “It is his angel!”

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege and the power of coming before Your throne in prayer. We are also grateful for the transformative power released when even two people come before Your throne in unity and agreement. Today, we come boldly into Your presence, not as one person, or even a small group of people. We come before You representing thousands of people around the world from 179 nations. Today, with one unified voice, we ask that this prayer echo through the corridors of heaven and shake the gates of hell.

Lord, eradicate COVID-19 and heal our cities and nations from its ravages.

The early church was in a dire state. James had been brutally murdered. Peter was in a heavily guarded prison. He was hours away from death, and there was no natural hope for his deliverance. Surely the church was laden with sorrow and hopelessness. Yet, they rose up and earnestly prayed in the face of impossibility. Today, we need miraculous deliverance, too. We have been stalked by a brutal pandemic and are isolated from one another through quarantines and lockdowns. Our economies and cultures have been shaken. You are the only answer.

Today, we rise up out of hopelessness and despair, asking You, Heavenly Father, to miraculously deliver our world through a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit.

Peter’s deliverance is a testimony to Your greatness. The angel of the Lord appeared in Peter’s cell. His chains fell off. Until Peter got out of the prison and into the streets, however, he thought he was dreaming. If You can deliver Peter, You can deliver us—and those we love—from anything imprisoning them. United prayer is the key that unlocks prison doors!

Lord, free us from chains of despair, depression, and fear. Only You can set people free from their prisons of sin and death. Revive Your church, we pray and embolden us to proclaim the gospel.

Heavenly Father, even though we are praying, it is often a battle to keep believing. We are encouraged by the fact that even when Peter was standing at the door of the prayer meeting, those inside praying did not believe it was him. Today, we cry out with one voice, “Lord, we believe, help our unbelief.”  We know that even in our weakness, You are strong. In the name of Your Son, Jesus, hear our prayers.

Lord, we desperately cry out for a revival that will awaken Your church and save millions. Heal our fractured nations. As we all turn to You in repentance and faith, reconcile our divisions.

AMEN.

Week Twenty-Six: 9/13/2020 - 9/19/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

“Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything  they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
— MATTHEW 18:19-20 (ESV)

When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne, and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.
— REVELATION 8:1-5 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Heavenly Father, it is clear in Scripture that we have great power when we come before Your throne in prayer as individuals. We rejoice in this privilege. Yet, You also reveal in Scripture an incredible multiplier–the power of unified prayer. You promise if two of us agree on anything in prayer, it will be done. We are claiming this promise as we boldly come before Your throne today with millions of believers from 179 nations.

Lord, today we stand unified as part of a great praying multitude, asking You to eradicate COVID-19 and bring a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit on the earth.

You also promise when two or three of Your people meet to pray, Your presence is powerfully in their midst. Even when we are praying alone, we are not alone in our battle against COVID-19 and our cries for revival. We are spiritually connected to millions of other believers who are praying the same thing at the same time, every day. We are so grateful for the opportunity for our prayers to be amplified by the unified voices of the multitudes of Your people around the world.

Heavenly Father, as the unified prayers of millions thunder through the courts of Heaven, we are asking You to release the healing rains of Your Holy Spirit onto our broken cities and shattered nations.

Ignited by divine fire, the power of heavenly worship and earthly prayers release explosive power on the earth. This extraordinary power of prayer is not just for the end; it is for every generation. We claim that outpouring for today.

Heavenly Father, we come before You, unified in one voice, crying out: In the name of Your Son Jesus, shatter the deceptive lies of Satan, blinding the eyes of people to the reality of who You are and your plan for their lives. We pray in Jesus’ name..

AMEN.

Week Twenty-Five: 9/6/2020 - 9/12/2020 - Pray at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM.

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.
— JAMES 5:17-18 (ESV)

And Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink, for there is a sound of the rushing of rain.” So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Mount Carmel. And he bowed himself down on the earth and put his face between his knees. And he said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” And he went up and looked and said, “There is nothing.” And he said, “Go again,” seven times. And at the seventh time he said, “Behold, a little cloud like a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” And he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.’” And in a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel.
— 1 KINGS 18:41-45 (ESV)

THE PRAYER

Lord, Your Scriptures are filled with astonishing accounts of men and women who changed their world through prayer. Elijah is among these heroes and heroines of the faith. He was human, just like us. Your Scriptures record he was greatly overwhelmed with fear and anxiety at one point in his life. Yet, even in the weakness of his humanity, You made him strong. Through Your power and his prayers, the course of history changed. Today, knowing You are the God whose strength is made perfect in our weakness, we humbly come united before Your throne, crying out in prayer.

Lord, make us strong in our weakness today. Fill us with the faith we need to patiently persist in prayer until COVID-19 is eradicated and our world is flooded with a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit.

Heavenly Father, Elijah had just experienced the greatest encounter of His life. Fire literally fell from heaven. His enemies were seemingly defeated. Yet, there was no rain, and a drought was destroying his world. Today, like Elijah, we will not just settle for great church services. Our cities and nations are being ravaged by a relentless pandemic, and the hearts of the world’s people are parched and desperate for the rains of heaven. Like Elijah, we can hear the sound of divine breakthrough. Yet, it is no time to merely settle and play. Like Elijah, it is time for us to pray.

Lord, we will not settle for great church services and simply being blessed by the manifestation of Your presence and power. No, we boldly come before You in unity, crying out: Eradicate COVID-19 and bring a fresh move of Your Spirit to the earth.

Heavenly Father, prayer is often hard work. Today, we rise out of the mire of discouragement and patiently climb the mountain of prayer. Like Elijah, who did not settle for rain clouds and winds, we too, will persevere, until the spiritual drought destroying our planet is broken by the fresh rains of heaven.

Lord, we boldly come before Your throne from 179 nations around the world. You have transformed our desperation into the discipline we need to change the course of our world through united prayer. We now cry out, saying: Heal our lands from the ravages of this pandemic, revive and unite Your church, and save millions through Your glorious Gospel. In Jesus’ name we pray.

AMEN.
